Application Tips
CONCEALER: Use before foundation application on clean, dry skin. Using a small brush apply concealer to areas you want to cover, blemishes, age spots, skin irregularities, etc. Use either 2 light coats of foundation or one coat of yellow concealer to conceal darker areas around your eyes including the corners and any under eye dark areas. Use either 2 layers of your foundation color, or one coat of green concealer to diminish red blemishes and conceal red-colored areas, such as rosacea. Blend in well. This may also be foiled on with a damp brush, and allow to dry before applying your foundation. To make a cream concealer add one drop of moisturizer to a small amount of the mineral concealer powder, then blend the products together into a smooth creamy consistency, and apply. The cream when applied will quickly turn into powder.
FOUNDATION: Dip your brush tips into your foundation minerals. Turn the brush with the bristles pointing up and tap it once on a solid surface, like the sink, to settle the minerals into the brush. Apply powder on clean, dry skin, swirling with the brush, evenly blending your minerals. For a perfectly flawless radiant airbrushed look, it is best to apply the minerals in light layers, rather than using one heavy application. The lighter layers will radiate the natural glow of your skin easily and effortlessly in just a few moments of application. You can also “foil” on your foundation, by getting the tips of your application brush slightly damp before touching the bristles to your minerals and using the same swirling circles, apply the foundation to your face. This will give you a slightly heavier coat in one application and will dry evenly within seconds.
BLUSH: Dip your brush tips into your blush minerals. Turn the brush with the bristles pointing up and tap it once on a solid surface, like the sink, to settle the minerals into the brush. Apply powder on clean, dry skin, evenly blending your minerals. For a perfectly flawless radiant look, it is best to apply the minerals in light layers, rather than using one heavy application. The lighter layers will radiate the natural glow of your skin easily and effortlessly in just a few moments of application.
BRONZER or HIGHLIGHTER: Apply these minerals to the areas that the light would naturally shine on, the forehead, cheeks, bridge of nose, and chin to give a naturally healthy glow look to your skin. Apply it as you would the blush.
MINERAL VEIL This is one of the most versatile minerals formulated and used. This will help absorb oil on the face, helps absorb perspiration, and gives a finished look to the face. This is an all-over translucent mineral face powder that can be worn alone or as finishing powder. Our mineral veil gives you that airbrushed look while sealing your makeup. A must-have for any mineral makeup bag or athletic bag! Eliminate the goopy liquid makeup for the smooth flawless finish of Sweetscents minerals.
EYESHADOW: Dip the tip of your brush or applicator into the powder. Tap brush on the side of jar. Apply to lids, crease, or brow, blending well for a natural look. With our fabulous Angle Fluff brush, you can not only apply your eye minerals easily and quickly, but you can also blend the colors into one another effortlessly.
EYELINER: Eyeliner can be applied dry or wet,(called foiling). DRY APPLICATION: Dip the tip of your eyeliner brush into eye color powder. Gently tap off any excess minerals. Apply to the lid getting as close to the lash line as possible. If you want a more pronounced color for the eyeliner, simply reapply using the same method. DAMP( foiled) APPLICATION: Simply dampen your eyeliner brush with a small amount of water, and dip the brush tip into the liner color you wish to use, our matte or shimmer colors work equally as well when used as eyeliners when foiled. Gently lay the eyeliner brush tips on the eyelid, close to the lash line, and sweep the color over the eye, and repeat for the lower eye.
FUN WITH THE MINERALS ON YOUR LIPS AND NAILS: For the hottest nails for spring, simply load up your clear nail polish brush, then just put the tip into a small amount of mineral color, and apply it to the nails. All the shimmer and depth will come out on your nails for a total color statement. A great way to carry the color theme over to your lips is by mixing some minerals with your lip gloss, or by applying the lip gloss as normal, the gently brushing or tapping on some mineral color for that pop of color.
